Next Radio will on Friday, December 19, 2025, host its first Next Radio Dashes of the year, rewarding lucky listeners through a live on-ground activation at two Ecomart locations in Kampala.
The activations will take place in two sessions on the same day. The first will happen during The Morning Switch at 9:00am at Ecomart Kiwatule, followed by a second session during The Chillout at 2:00pm at Ecomart Kisaasi.
The Next Radio Dashes are part of the station’s ongoing Christmas campaign, which has been running on-air, with listeners required to tune in, listen out for the Christmas jingle and call in to enter the draw. Selected listeners will be unveiled on the day and given the opportunity to dash through the supermarket and pick festive shopping items.
Speaking ahead of the activation, Next Radio Brand Manager Martha Ayedo said the experience has been designed to directly connect the station’s identity with listener rewards.
“The Next Radio Dashes will last 106 seconds, inspired by our radio frequency, 106.1FM, making the experience uniquely Next Radio while giving our listeners an exciting and memorable way to celebrate the festive season,” Ayedo said.
The activation is expected to attract shoppers, listeners and fans of the station, with live broadcasts from both locations and presenters engaging directly with audiences on the ground.
Through the Next Radio Dashes, the station continues to blend on-air engagement with real-life experiences, rewarding listener loyalty while spreading festive cheer during the Christmas season.
Listeners who miss out on Friday’s activation have been encouraged to keep tuning in, as another Next Radio Dash is scheduled for December 22.
Audiences have been urged to stay locked on Next Radio 106.1FM, listen out for the Christmas jingle and participate for a chance to be selected in the upcoming dash.
